A Brief Introduction

Hi!, I am Chaitanya a tech geek from the UK. I spend most of my time is spent tinkering with computers, networks or security concepts but outside of computers I have quite a knack for cooking, music, reading and football, I speak English & Hindi fluently but recently I have been learning some Dutch (Hallo!), although its going to be some time until I can hold my own in Dutch conversations. You can expect a blog or a meaningful update to this website from me every week, I try to make all blog posts exciting and full of knowledge worth sharing, Most of my posts might be about my current projects, Networking, Linux or Cyber security, With a few being about general topics I found interesting.

My Skills

I excel at problem solving and engineering solutions to problems, I am also a great at teamwork having worked with small teams before to contribute to the developments of linux distributions. I can program in Visual Basic, Zig, C# and Python but I definitely prefer to program in Go, while not a Master, I still consider myself to be skilled in the language, I also have operational knowledge of both Network administration, Linux administration, CI-CD pipelines to support my knowledge of the programming language Additionally, I hold a CompTIA Security+ and have theoretical knowledge of network design from books like Computer Networking - A systems approach, I have fundamental knowledge in both the fields.

My Projects

I work on https://codeberg.org/chillygopher/go-nvd/ ; An In-development API Wrapper for the NIST NVD APIs, Although incomplete It has been a great learning experience for both my programming skills and problem solving skills in addition to making me familiar with Vulnerability Management terminology. I also collaborate with friends on other software, such as Allium, An Opensubsonic compatible music server, I am currently working on implementing the user endpoints, The project has taught me loads about project workflows, Mocking and Testing in Golang, Docker Containers and Nix. My Drive

I am extremely inspired by Legends of the Computing Field such as Ken Thompson, Dennis Ritchie and Linux Torvalds, They inspire me in ways that make me want to work hard and reach their levels of technological prowess. I am also very motivated by Steve Jobs and Jay Chaudhry who have both led successful companies (Apple and Zscaler) and have revolutionised their respective fields of Computing and Cyber security with wonderful products and services, A level I want to achieve for myself.

I read quite a lot, When I was Younger I read a lot of amazing books such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Tom Gates, they have both given me a wild and free roaming imagination that I make a lot of use as someone who is a bit older. At my current Age I enjoy a mixed genre of books, currently on the self-development and improvement phase but I have previously enjoyed fantasy and history novels, Some of my favourite books I have listed down below;
